The DBA inclusive Design Challenge has been described as “the combined Oscars and Olympics of inclusive design” by the BBC. In 2006, Wire entered for the first time and won.

Consider is designed to help clients and designers work together to create great designs that are also more inclusive.

At the heart of the approach lies a visual impairment simulator that helps everyone working on a project to appreciate the issues around common visual impairments, plus related cognitive issues such as dyslexia.

The system enables clients to reconfigure their audience by disability so that designers can fully understand the requirements of the target audience before they start work on the project. Rather than showing the designer a fixed list of optimum solutions, Consider offers advice and understanding of the design techniques that might be used to make their work more effective. The tool also comes bundled with inspiring examples by peers and celebrated designers.

Consider is designed to fit seamlessly into the designer's desktop and workflow so that issues around retro fixing are eliminated.
