John has recently returned from a week long trip to Korea with the ‘queen of inclusive design’ Julia Cassim. He was invited by the British Council to give seminars and run workshops on inclusive design and design for an aging population. Engagements included: after dinner speaking to design leaders and professors. A public seminar to several hundred people at the Korean Design Centre, a fee paying workshop for young designers and discussions with senior design management at Hyundai Cars.
Wire also developed the brand ‘65+’ which is an obvious reference to the aging population but that also denotes the added benefits of an inclusive design approach to all customers — all the events were oversubscribed.
