In 2006 Southwark Council events team awarded Wire the contract to rebrand and market their diverse range of events. Some of the events were Council, others were led by partner organisations with Council support.

Our objective was to build recognition and greater awareness of the council’s input and involvement in all events. The new branding would have to be sympathetic to the individuality and personality of different events ranging from Irish festivals, youth music initiatives and street carnivals.

We developed campaign strategies across the whole programme, including a calendar for every house in Southwark, listing every event throughout the year plus small, bespoke initiatives such as text awareness programmes with incentives for entry.

The programme resulted in an average increase of 50% across monitored events and a greater awareness of Southwark involvement in all partnership activity.
